Yet again, the time has come where we send one of our own out into the wild. Juanita, who has been a marketing intern at Proverb for the last 6 months, is taking off onto a path of her own discovery. Upon her departure, she left us with a few words of wisdom from her time at Proverb. Check it out.

What is your favorite memory interning at Proverb?

People there are fun (or hilarious?). I’ve learned to work hard and enjoy a bit of fun for a change. I think this is a good way to keep your work fresh and prevent from getting overwhelmed.

When I talk to my friend in the industry, I can’t believe when they tell me how quiet it is in their offices; no body talks, no music is on. Although I seemed to be the only one quiet at Proverb, I really liked the energetic vibe.

What is the biggest lesson that you’ve learned (in business, managing relationships, deadlines, etc.)?

Set priorities and have flexibility. Insist on authenticity to deliver simplicity.

What is your favorite proverb?

If you never try, you’ll never know.

What are your plans next?

I am still thinking, but I am open to all possibilities.

Final thoughts on the design, advertising, branding world now that you’ve worked within it?

At an early stage, people may buy the look of a brand. But content is the decisive factor to touch people’s hearts and keep the brand everlasting. A service/product without content is not a brand. A great agency has the magic to make the transformation happen.

Wishing you the best of luck Juanita! We’ll miss your hustle.
